Hi, I’m Amy Thompson.

I’m a mom of seven, a former teacher, a former foster parent, and a real estate investor. North Texas has been my home for decades, and today I live and work right here in Anna. Real estate moves quickly, but making a move should never feel chaotic. My focus is simple: steady, honest guidance so you can make every decision with confidence.

What Teaching and Fostering Taught Me

Before real estate, I spent more than seven years teaching 4th grade math and science. I still teach every day. I walk my clients through the numbers, the contracts, and the timelines until everything makes sense.

I was also a foster parent for five years and welcomed 13 children into my home. Those years taught me what “home” really means: stability, safety, and a place to belong. I bring that understanding to every client I work with, because a house is never just a transaction.

Why “Big Rock” Properties?

There’s a well-known lesson about filling a jar: put the big rocks in first, or they’ll never fit. Buying or selling a home is one of the biggest rocks in anyone’s life. I named my business Big Rock Properties because I love helping people move those big rocks. Nothing beats the smiles at the closing table when a move went smoothly and my clients are holding the keys to their next chapter.
